Comment by Toni L Brock on April 20, 2012 at 6:14pm Hi Tim & Liz ~ I hope that copious amounts of people have thanked you for sharing your life experiences with us. After all, experience is the BEST teacher :) So thank you very much for ALL of the things you have taught me. Also, I wanted to share that I recently have found a source for local raw milk here in Oregon. My other half is quite uncomfortable and unsure about its safety. And to fuel that, 3 boys were diagnosed last week with e Coli from raw milk from another farm. So this podcast came at a great time for me. I, one hundred percent agree with your thoughts Tim. There are SO many foods that are unhealthy for us that the government completely endorse, but the slightest problem with small local farms is so magnified. I feel completely safe with our raw milk and am very greatful that I have the freedom and finances to acquire it. If for some slip of nature something happened and I became sick, I feel confident that sometimes things happen and that is why we have immune systems, right? Thank you both for all that you do. Oh, one more thing, I was in on the beta testing for Farm-Dreams, and I have to tell you - you guys have helped me get so much more out of this wonderful website. I don't mean to expose my complete ineptness for navigation of the website, but, it is true, I found so many more things I didn't know were there just from listening to the podcasts. Thank you !
Toni
Comment by Nick Duncan on April 23, 2012 at 11:34pm I was raised on raw milk and have no fear of it whatsoever! I feel lucky that Idaho passed legislation protecting the raw milk industry in our state! Since 2010 when the law was passed, raw milk farms have opened up all over the place and are very successful, and there have been zero instances of ecoli or other diseases caused by raw milk. If everybody in their individual states got their local legistlators to pass laws protecting the in-state sale of raw milk, then the federal government would be powerless to regulate it as long as the milk doesn't cross state lines. Keep fighting the good fight, and Toni, the more you drink it, the less fear and apprehension you will have! Plus raw milk tastes better, is sweeter, and is better for you! Cheers!
