We finally got some heat this week - in the upper 80s mostly, though we still had one night in the upper 30's at the beginning of the week! It did get up to the low 90s for a day or two too. So, my tomatoes have started flowering, as have my melons! The plants are still pretty small.
My Three Sisters patch started growing well this week thanks to the warmer days. It looks like some of my winter squash will make it - though as soon as it started growing in came the squash bugs.
My potatoes are doing very well and have such pretty flowers! The yellow flowers are yellow potatoes and the blue flowers are blue potatoes. :)
My peas are doing great, below them are swiss chard, bolted spinach, marigolds, and lettuce in the back.
Carrots are growing well too, we ate one purple Dragon carrot, but it wasn't quite ready - we just couldn't resist peeking at the color though!
And lastly, our apples are growing and beginning to change color.
Comment by Chad R on September 10, 2012 at 1:53am Great pictures. Your garden looks like it is doing great.
Good pics! My first garden was similar. Unfortunately, a frost killed off the majority of the garden while we were away for a wedding :( The few cool weather crops I planted are doing well, though! Isn't this fun!?!
