Homesteading, Organic Gardening, How to Farm, Preparedness, Self-Reliance
I had come to accept my current situation. That buying a house was pricy, especially when you want acreage. That a balcony garden was all I'd have for a year. But one day, we would have our own bit of own land to garden, have goats and chickens. Well the universe saw things differently.
While not seriously looking, my husband and I still check the housing market on that 'in case' moment. The 'in case' has just put us into contract on 21 acres with a nice, and livable, little house. I'm still stunned.
Suddenly, we are mere months away from having the land we always wanted. The property is pretty nice. We have a lot of cleaning to do. The previous owner had clear cut a bunch of trees and the debris is still left. Otherwise, it's great for gardening. There's a little shed 100ft from the house almost ready fro goats. And it's affordable.
I'm so thrilled with all the possibilities for this place. At the same time waiting impatiently for the inspector to come through and all the paperwork. All in all, we just bought our little homestead. Yea!
