I'm new to the farming community in general. I live in suburbia on a quarter acre of land. I would like to have chickens for eggs mostly, but i would like the option of tasty meat too. Im limited on space and options. I looked it up and i'm not allowed to have roosters. I assume thats for the noise factor. Are there any notoriously quiet breeds that fit the layer/meat bill?
