daily life

I live in a big city, in a "normal" house. We do "normal" things like eat out, play Wii, and watch movies... I don't consider myself a prepper. However, I am very interested in learning everything I can about primitive living skills. I am on my way to making fire, spinning fiber, and brain tanning hides. That would be great.  My wife is doing an internship in Stillwater during the week but we plan on working every weekend.  We have two children, 3 and 2 years old, that I am taking care of but I also hope to work in the mornings everyday too.  Cob seems labor intensive so help would be great.
