I have these 5 plants that I have never seen before, I thought it was a Mexican tomato. Not really sure it looks like a heritage egg plant. What do you think by looking at the pictures?…Continue
We have two goats and one donkey Buford also three hens and two roosters. Our latest addition are rabbits the Mama had five little babies. Love to garden have eight raised beds and four compost piles, there are collards growing in one of the raised beds and garlic in the garden plot in the Forrest. Plan to make a bigger garden in the spring taking down several tree's to let the sun shine in through the Forrest and add more raised beds. We are also going to get a couple of pigs to raise, still waiting for the Mama goat to have her kidd hopefully it will be this month she is very pregnant and should drop soon

Fern's Garden said… Beautiful place! It's great to see everyone's garden photos - thanks for posting yours.
We plant pretty late - still had frosts and freezing nights last week. Usually have a June 1st last frost date, but the weather looks pretty stable with nights around 40 and above so I am going to take a chance and get some things outside this week.

emily a said… The smart pots are great. But you can't plant a field of corn in there. We were just talking earlier tonight about needing to plant a larger area, for corn and bush beans. I have been trying to convince my other half that planting in the ground isn't all bad... We moved this year and started a new garden. Just in the amount of space we have used for our container garden, we could have planted rows and had a lot more planted. The containers (Smart pots) are awesome for potatoes and other root vegetables. And they are very hard to move, but possible... You have to be very determined not to leave your garden (all that good dirt) behind.
I really like your use of natural trellising for your beans! And your corn looks awesome!
