String-ed Beans

"I made do with whatever was available. I tied the blue yarn to the base of the plants (copying my 90 year old neighbor's technique). This is my first go with beans, hopefully the trellis and stringing will hold!"

" I really like the trellis wish I had done one there are so many green beans now, I did make three tall  stakes for the jack beans and they have out grown it already, one even went down off the stake into the green…"

A whole bale fits... we also used some extra loose hay to fill in the gaps. I've planted mostly edible flowering starter plants and herbs that can handle some shade, a variegated lettuce and a tomato plant in the sunniest spot. There is a drain plug on the bottom of the through but draining has not been necessary.
