Hoop House

This is the housing for my pastured layers. It's 10x16 on 4x4 skids so I can move it every day. It is actually light enough that I can move it by hand. I bent the conduit with a hoop house bender I purchased online. I have had 200 birds in this at one time. The nest boxes are attached to the outside to discourage roosting at night.

How much you think it weights? How are you moving it.

Does this get hot in the summer or do you use some type of shade cloth?

Not sure on the weight. im a big guy so i just pull it by hand. Most people would use a tractor.

It didn't get real hot last summer, but i do have shade cloth standing by just in case.

Looks great! I love the idea, and the way you've built this!

Can you show how you have the nest boxes...as well as the other side??  Thanks!

Would it be faux pas to ask how much it cost to build?
