Awesome!  Looking forward to listening.

Comment by Chris Henderson on January 4, 2012 at 12:34pm

I tried to download the podcast through iTunes over my phone, and I'm getting the following error, Unable to Download Podcast, "Coopcast 1 - Meet our Farm" could not be downloaded at this time. I am able to download other podcasts. Not sure if it is a problem on my end or something wrong with getting it through iTunes...just thought I would mention it. :)

Thanks. I'm excited to hear your podcast.

Loved the show.  The casual conversation was topical, entertaining, and informative.  Consider me a subscriber.  Keep up the good work!

http://theselfsufficientgardener.com/ - Jason Akers does a great job talking about homesteading and gardening.

http://sshomestead.com/ - Johnnymax and the Queen on homesteading and gardening  Johnny always comes up with interesting homesteading ideas!

http://www.smallhomefarm.com/ - Erin Lahey talks about small scale farming & homesteading it has been informative and she is very consistent in putting out shows.

http://www.voiceamerica.com/show/1565/sustainable-agriculture-spotl... - Jeff Birkby did a great job on this one there is a ton of farm info but it is no longer has new episodes however there are plenty to listen too and they are worth browsing.

The Survival Podcast, Bubbatanicals and Chicken Thistle Farm were mentioned but I would like to give those a thumbs up I really like listening to Nature's Harmony but the feed doesn't like to load sometimes..

That's it for now I need to check out a couple that are posted above!

Thanks RTF...we'll add those.  After a few months of arm twisting I'm pleased that the Farm Dreams podcast will start shortly and join the fantastic group above!

Cool deal I'll be looking for it to hit iTunes!!

Comment by Chris Stelzer on January 20, 2012 at 7:32pm

I'd also like to shamelessly mention my website. www.AgriculturalInsights.com I'm currently interning with Greg Judy in Missouri and I have a blog/podcast about my experiences here with how-to's, interviews and Sustainable Agriculture in general. I'd love to see some of you come over and comment on my posts, we've been having some good conversations over there.

Thanks!

Chris

I listened to the first Farm Dreams "farmcast" and enjoyed it. I'd like to be able to subscribe to the RSS but the link doesn't work for me? I don't have iTunes (and would prefer not to) but I'm not sure if there's any other way for me to access it?

Comment by Andrew Atkins on February 29, 2012 at 10:57am
Another shameless plug for ya. Y'all also check out Buckhead to Farmstead on itunes. Just got started this week.

These podcasts are wonderful!  I'll be sure to share this with the Local Grower's Guild and Permaculture listserv in my town!

Tim and Liz,

Are you still breeding and selling heritage turkeys? How do your customers respond to them? Are you able to sell them for enough to make their longer grow out economically sustainable? I recently read an old blog post from Honest Meat about heritage turkeys, http://www.honestmeat.com/honest_meat/2008/11/raising-heritage-turk..., and was somewhat alarmed by it. Are heritage turkeys that difficult to grow?

Thank you,

Emily

I've been doing a live blogtalk radio show called Christian Farm and Homestead Radio for a couple of months now.  You can download the podcast version of the shows HERE.

I hope all is well with Tim and LIz because I am getting desperate!!

They are my fave podcast, tied for favorite with Chicken Thistle Farms Coopcast, followed by MyBackAchers, Cooking Issues, and A Taste of the Past....good motivation in the yard when I am fighting the mosquitoes and my own horizontal inclinations.

Comment by Fern's Garden on July 11, 2012 at 12:52am

I agree! They really help motivate me to get out there and get to work! I miss the farmcast!

Comment by Dusty Bottoms on July 12, 2012 at 7:44am
Yep, we all miss 'em but they'll be back. They had to take a month off of podcasting due to family issues.

Where are Tim and Liz?  I hope they are surviving the heat and the drought.

Comment by Kyle @ TerraSol on January 12, 2013 at 12:43am

I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this problem, but I am unable to find your podcast on iTunes.  I was able to access the shows in December, but not as of January 2013.  Any ideas?  This problem occurs while using the iTunes link provided above, as well as opening the app from my desktop.  ITunes says that this link is not available in the US.

Miss listening to you guys and hope to find you again soon.

Ack! We're podcasting! I've had so much fun listening to Tim & Liz, Chicken Thistle, Small Home Farm and the like that we've joined the ranks of farmcasters. If you need another sustainable farmcast fix, you can find us on iTunes at "Renaissance Farmcast" Our first half-hour episode introduces our farming philosophy, offers updates, tips for new/aspiring farmers, information on the pros/cons of raising sheep, and we review two web resources. We'll be fielding questions/comments from listeners too, so feel free to join in the conversation! (ps I'd love some feedback so we can guide this crazy new project in the right direction, so take a quick listen and let me know what you all think!)
