Homesteading, Organic Gardening, How to Farm, Preparedness, Self-Reliance
Hey Farm Dreamers,
I have 25 acres for sale in Haralson County Georgia. We had planned on farming it but we live on 5 acres in another location of the county and the 5 acres are more than I can handle.
The 25 acres has approxiamtely 10 acres in established hay. I allow my uncle to cut the hay and he does this two times per year, just completed the spring cutting. He produces 8 of the 1 ton round bales per cutting. The remaining is in hardwoods and volunteer pines.
The property has access to county water but it has a well. Electricity and phone is present. My father has his mobile home set up on it for now but is moving it upon the sale unless you make a deal with him to buy it.
The property is not pastured.
We are planning to sale this on our own for $150,000.
If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Before the housing market bubble burst it was worth $8k/acre.
The property used to be a cotton farm many moons ago, my great grandfather was forced to quite cotton farming by the government so he then grew peppers. We grew corn in the alcove, where you see the large patch in the field that is not cut. We grew the corn in the middle of a draught year and it did great. There is a low area in the field where my husband was wanting to create a pond. The area stays wet and the land actually slopes inward toward that area. He was thinking it wouldn't take a lot of work to have water in it.
I would love to see this land turned back into a working farm and not a subdivision.
Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks,
Stephanie
