Homesteading, Organic Gardening, How to Farm, Preparedness, Self-Reliance
We're just about to move to our place in NS and already have a massive list of infrastructure and other things we'll be wanting and needing to do - we'll have to take it one step at a time but I'm curious what kinds of funding there might be out there to help start up small farms - has anyone access federal grant or loan funding, or anything else to help them get rolling?

I think the trick is finding out what the Cdn. government sees as a small farm. How much land are you taking on? I'll keep looking. You know how the web is. What you find tomorrow was not available five minutes before.

We're not looking to do things as a sole occupation (full time farmers - at least not in the foreseeable future) - and we don't have an economic history in the agriculture sector - both of these things seem impt to some funders. If you come across any links please let me know. Cheers

I found a website today that I did not see when we had this discussion. Please let me know if it's of any use.
