Homesteading, Organic Gardening, How to Farm, Preparedness, Self-Reliance
Hi Everyone,
I'm a newbie at permaculture but learning. Does anyone have ideas or know of anyone producing commercially using a true permaculture design/thought process. It seems with the proper planning/design that model would slowly become less dependent on inputs and effort that could eventually produce abundance. I thought this would be an interesting topic.
Thx

Toby Hemenway's book Gaia's Garden has a number of case studies of profitable permaculture farms and the book itself is focused on how to do just that, though it is geared for a plot of only a few acres.
In a different direction, Will Allen's Growing Power aquaponics operation produces 1 million pounds of food on three acres, though it is technically a nonprofit organization, it could be easily run as a for profit.
Paul Wheaton routinely interviews profitable farmers doing various forms of permaculture.
Hope that helps, good luck!
