Chemical fertilizers vs non chemical fertilizers

I've been gardening for a few years no, we usually plant with 8-8-8 or 13-13-13 and top dress with 34-0-0. This year after reading Acres magazine and documentaries I would like to use non chemical fertilizers. New have a good bit of rabbit manure from the rabbits we raise. I had read somewhere that a non chemical fertilizer like 3-3-3 would be comparable to a chem. 10-10-10 because of the way they break down in the soil. School me please!

Kim,

I use the old style for corn... I plant pole beans along with the corn.  The corn provides the pole, and the beans provide extra nitrogen.

Put some squash underneath and have a 3-sisters planting! On my todo list for this year!

a little rabbit manure and lots of mulch with a little wood ash will make a great garden. Let your plants tell you what they need, listen carefully. If you do this, then you will have a wonderful garden.

If i use the newspaper to line the rows for weeds and layer with grass clippings...what kind of concern do need to worry about in making sure that no weed clippings are included in it?
